This Cookie Policy explains how Rankre Business Services, SLU ("RANKRE", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on www.rankre.org (the "Website").

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer, phone or tablet when you visit it. They let the website work properly, remember your choices and, if you allow it, help the owner understand how visitors use it.

Some cookies are set by the website you are visiting (first-party cookies). Others are set by outside services the website relies on (third-party cookies). Some are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies); others stay for a set period (persistent cookies). This policy uses "cookies" to cover similar technologies too, such as local storage.

3. Cookies we use

The Website is hosted on Squarespace, which sets most of the cookies below on our behalf. We use two kinds: strictly necessary cookies, which the Website cannot work without, and analytics cookies, which we only use if you accept them. We do not use advertising or social-media tracking cookies.

Strictly necessary cookies

These keep the Website secure and working, protect our contact form against spam, and remember your cookie choice. They do not need your consent and cannot be switched off.

  • crumb (Squarespace): protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Session.

  • RecentRedirect (Squarespace): prevents redirect loops when an old page address forwards to a new one. 30 minutes.

  • test, ddcookie_test, ddsite_test (Squarespace): check that your browser accepts cookies. Session or deleted immediately.

  • dds (Squarespace): records technical browser errors so the Website can be fixed. 4 hours.

  • SS_HAS_LANDED (Squarespace): distinguishes a first visit from later visits; stored in your browser only. Until you clear your browser storage.

  • ss_performancecookiesAllowed, ss_marketingcookiesAllowed (Squarespace): remember your cookie choices (we do not use marketing cookies). 30 days.

  • _GRECAPTCHA (Google reCAPTCHA): checks that messages sent through our contact form come from a person, not an automated program. Google receives your IP address and technical information about your device and browser. 6 months.

Analytics cookies

These count visits and show which pages are read, so we can improve the Website. They are only set if you select "Accept all" (or allow analytics under "Manage cookies") in the cookie banner. The statistics are provided to us by Squarespace and are not used to advertise to you.

  • ss_cvr, ss_cid, ss_cpvisit (Squarespace): recognise a returning visitor and count unique visits. 2 years.

  • ss_cvt, ss_cvisit (Squarespace): group page views into a single visit. 30 minutes.

Fonts

The Website loads its fonts from Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts. These services do not set cookies on the Website, but your browser sends them your IP address and browser details when it downloads the fonts.

4. Your choices

When you first visit the Website, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. "Accept all" and "Decline all" are offered side by side, and "Manage cookies" lets you choose. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and the Website works exactly the same.

You can change your mind at any time:

  • On the Website: select "Cookie Preferences" at the bottom of any page to reopen your choices. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and does not affect any use made before you withdrew it.

  • In your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Help pages: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop the contact form from working.

5. Legal basis and applicable law

We use strictly necessary cookies because they are needed to provide the Website you asked to see and to keep it secure. We use analytics cookies only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (section 4).

RANKRE is established in Andorra, so this policy follows Andorran law: Llei 29/2021, del 28 d'octubre, qualificada de protecció de dades personals, and the guidance of the Agència Andorrana de Protecció de Dades (APDA) on cookies. Where visitors are in the European Union, we also apply the equivalent standards of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy rules on cookies.

Squarespace, Inc. (our hosting provider) and Google (reCAPTCHA and fonts) are based in the United States, so information collected by cookies may be transferred there. These providers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses for such transfers; our Privacy Policy gives details.

If you think we have not handled your data correctly, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the APDA (www.apda.ad) or, if you live in the EU, to the data protection authority in your country.

6. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the Website or the cookies it uses change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. Significant changes will be shown in the cookie banner.
